Easter Cake

A Very Happy Easter to each and every one of you. I hope you guys are doing well and having a wonderful Easter Sunday.

Today, I want to share with you my small and sweet little Easter Cake..
In the previous post I showed you how to make the Gum paste/ Fondant / Marzipan Easter Bunnies.

The cake itself is really easy, I don't need to show you much.
However,  I did take some pictures for those of you who like to see progress pictures.

This is my 6" round - Flour-less Chocolate Cake with my favorite Chocolate Ganache.

Roll a thin piece of fondant on the top.
Roll a long strip of fondant and imprint with the basket weave design ( you get rolling pin as well as textured mats with the basket weave)
Place it around the cake.. That's the basic design.

Next roll two long thin sausages and twist them around to make the borders.
And your done....  Place the bunnies, shapes some fondant eggs, I use a strip of green fondant on the board and wrote Happy Easter.
Here's my finished Easter Cake.  I do hope you like it.
One again Happy Easter to one and all.
Here's a cake I did last Easter with the technique painting on edible rice paper video on you tube.

Thanks for stopping by.
