Teddy Bear Cookies

I've been waiting to share these teddy bear cookies with you for a while now but the post keeps getting postponed  for later.
I did these teddy cookies for a friend's little girl who turned one. As with all little girls she loves the teddy and has a huge collection too.

These are my Honey Roll Out Cookies with Royal Icing.

I was in the midst of decorating them the traditional way with Royal Icing when she happened to call me and requested that I do them in my Rolled Royal Icing instead. She always takes some RRI for her cookies. Like me she doesn't really have much patience with outline and flooding cookies.

These are the simple ones - I first outlined and flooded the ears and paws (ears, hands and legs), and 20 minutes later filled in the centers. The next day I added the eyes and details.

These I covered with rolled royal icing. Simple and easy. I wrote more about my rolled royal icing here.

You could do these with Fondant too.
Dampen the cookies with some sugar syrup or diluted jam to help stick..
Add the details.....
I just love the perfect finish I get doing them with RRI.
Aren't these just so simple and easy to make.
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.
