Three in one cupcakes. One recipe three flavors.

While my son loves only Vanilla cupcakes, my daughter loves Vanilla with Chocolate Chips, my husband eats only Chocolate cupcakes. So in one batch of cupcakes I have to please three different taste buds.

My family is not the only one with this issue, some of my customers have the same dilemma. The kids love Chocolate but the adult would like some thing different.

So when I make cupcakes now I make this recipe and split it in three so I can please all three of them. I hope you will find them useful too.

Makes : About 20 to 22 cupcakes.

Ingredients

300 grams (1 + 1/3 cup) unsalted Butter
300 grams (1 + 2/3 cup) Sugar
240 grams  (2 cups) All purpose flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla

Additional Ingredients
Vanilla - 2 tbsp AP Flour + 1/4 cup Milk
Chocolate Chips - 2 tbsp AP Flour + 1/4 cup Milk + 1/4 cup chocolate chips
Chocolate - 2 Tbsp Coco Powder + 1/4 cup water + 1 tsp coffee.

Method:
Preheat the oven to 170C/340F
Prepare your cupcake pan for baking

Place the butter and sugar in a bowl or electric mixer and mix until light and fluffy.
Add in the vanilla and eggs one at a time.
Here the eggs are all well incorporated.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
Add the flour to the batter, slowly. Do not over mix.
 This is your basic batter.
Now split this batter into three similar bowls approximately.
If the bowls are similar you can place them on your scale if your worried about being exact. Approximate is good enough.
Vanilla Cupcake - To one bowl. Add 1/4 cup milk and 2 tbsp of flour.
 Mix well.
Pour into your cupcakes pans and bake.
Chocolate Cupcakes - In a bowl add 1/4 cup water, 1 tsp of coffee and 2 tbsp Cocoa powder. Stir and let cool.
When cooled pour into the batter. Stir well.
This is your Chocolate cupcake batter -
Pour into your cupcake pans and bake.
Chocolate chip cupcakes - To the last batch add 1/4 cup chocolate chips and 1/4 cup milk. Stir well.
Pour into your cupcake pans and bake.

The cupcakes take about 20 to 22 minutes to bake.
Her's the chocolate cupcakes
 Here's the Vanilla
Here's the chocolate Chip.
I hope your enjoy this recipe. Do let me know if you try them out.
Until next time

  8. hi! I am a new in this industry and I am so loving your page, I will try your fondat and gumpaste recipe and this recipe also, I just want to ask, how do you make your cupcake dome shape? When I bake its always flat, and its hard to put decor. And what kind of pan do you use? I noticed it's individual pan and you just put it all in a tray pan? Thanks so much! And your site is amazing, one stop shop i should say! :)
