Gumpaste Winnie the Pooh

This has been a really really long week here.. I felt as if the days weren't just passing by.

One of the cakes I'm working on is Winnie the Pooh. The classic of course - A tree house cake and the animals out on the grass.

Cute; Isn't it?

Here is how I made Winnie the Pooh.

I usually prefer to mix half gum paste and half sugar paste to make my pieces. However I was running out of gum paste today and had to add tylose to my sugar paste. Tylos usually works great but when it's really hot and humid as today the paste is really too soft to work with.  Takes for ever to dry.

Colors: Golden yellow, red and black.

I'll just make a separate post for Piglet later.

I hope you found this post helpful.
