So here is the cake.....!
This is my Double Chocolate Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream, Chocolate Ganache and my Chocolate rolled fondant.
Here you can see I have a 7" at the bottom and a 6" round on the top.
The 6" round has a cake circle under it and the 7" round has three dowels.
You probably can get away with the cake circle and doweling if your cake isn't going to travel but mine was so....! Better safe than sorry.
I did not care much to smooth or trim much.. I wanted to just keep the rough shape of the cake..
All Ganached!
This is a marbled disc for the top of the tree.... I used Chocolate, Black, White, Ivory...
First laid them all together then rolled them into a disc.....
Here you can see it looks like the tree has been cut from the top.
I rolled some chocolate fondant to make the bark of the tree.
Then I rolled some Chocolate fondant into a long strips draped it around the tree. Smooth it well so it takes the shape of the bark.
Next i make some lines on the tree with a veining tool.
Added the rest of the details like green leaves made from gum paste as well as royal icing. Some gum paste flowers.
This is the back of the tree.
A door.
Some cups, a cake.... the characters of course.. ..
I put Tigger on the top as well as Eeyore's tail. The kids were quite fascinated that Eeyore's tail was lost.
and that's how I made my Winnie the Pooh tree house cake. It looks really difficult but as you can see it's not...!
I do hope you like it..
