A Garden Theme birthday cake

Today, I want to share with you a very special cake.

I made this cake for my daughter Rhea's care-taker in her school. It was her birthday recently.  She absolutely adores Rhea and takes care of her like she is her own. My Rhea's face just lights up like a little bulb the moment you mention her name.

Rhea was born premature so she has been diagnosed with development delays, hence she goes to a special school where she gets different therapy treatments such as speech, physical, occupation as well as hydro therapy.

My Rhea has made such remarkable progress in this one year at this special school, it is amazing. She surprises us every single day. A lot of that progress is credited to the ladies who take cake of the children.

Hence for her birthday and I wanted to give her something special. It took for ever to think of what I could make for her.

I made her this cake topper that she could have as a keep sake. I know she is going to miss Rhea next year as much as my Rhea adores her and misses her already now on vacations.

She of course loved her cake and had tears looking at the topper. My husband took Rhea with him to deliver the cake which she said was the highlight of her day.

I think the cake did speak to her in a special way and I could see it in her eyes. It made me so happy.

The cake itself is my Simple yet moist chocolate cake with Chocolate Ganache and homemade fondant/sugar paste.

And here's my little angel. She's now three but like a two year old on the development chart. In a year or two she should be in line with her own age. She is now just learning to talk so has been entertaining us with her sweet little chatter and singing.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lovely looking cake.Lovely colours and nice new look.I like these flourscent green and blue colours better, shows off your creations well. :)Of course, you had to celebrate and with chocolate(Rhea fav.). Beautiful. You are blessed by the loving care given to her by the caretaker.Giving this cake is a way to let the caretaker know you are grateful for all of the love and care that they she is providing...to Rhea.Veena,I keep admiring how you've been so kind and generous
