How to make a 2D Curious George Face

I just made this cake for a four year old boy name Ilai.

This is my Light and Fluffy Vanilla Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.  Here are some progress pictures for you. It's so easy to make that I thought you would not them but anyway, here are some.

Here's the picture from the web I used for reference.
The order was for an 8" cake but I ended up making a 9" cake. Better more than less.
I baked two 8" round for the face and two small mini cakes for the ears.
I simply stacked the two 8" cakes with cream cheese frosting.
You can use a template like above to cut out the sides like so.. I just did this free hand.
Trace the inner features of the face on a grease proof paper and mark a line around to guide you.
Use a piping bag and pipe around the template first.  Then fill in the details using the same template.
Placed the ears using the template again.
I used fondant to make the features, I cut them free hand and placed them on the template first then on to the cake.
I told you it was easy!

Thanks for stopping by.
