I hope you all are doing well. Today is my son's birthday. His name is Aadi and he turned five.
He always has an unending list of birthday cakes for one single birthday. This morning I made him one of his request; Lightening McQueen Cake. Don't worry I did take pictures to share with you later.
But today, I wanted to share some thing really cute with you.
I made these for a girl turning eight. She was having a small birthday celebration and wanted to give her friends a party favor. What do you think?
I was very happy with how they turned out, but was so thrilled that I managed to give each and everyone of them a unique look. As if each face has a personality of it's own.
Announcement: Now, I know that on my website member videos I promised to show you how I make my faces. But I don't think I will be doing that.
When I started sharing on my blog and website I really didn't think I was offending anyone or showing you something that would harm anyone. However, I have received emails from people who weren't happy with me sharing with you what they charge to teach. In fact, that is one of the reasons I have not made any more videos yet.
I personally still don't think that my sugar models are at a level that should bother anyone. I do teach cake decorating myself and I know that not matter how many free videos are released out there it will never take away the people that want to pay an learn.
Having said that; I do respect their view and have decided not to do this video. I'm sorry.
Here's a close up of each and every one of them so you can use it to inspire your own creations.
I hope you like them.
Until next time.
Thanks for stopping by.
I like to wish ur son a very happy birthday lots of hugs and kisses to him.U both are a source of inspiration to each other.I loved this tutorial but who are these people who are stopping others to teach. Its their greed for money that they dont want others to learn free. Why are they being so evil We will never get such a sweet, generous and free to teach teacher like you. They only want rich people to be more rich.I personally cannot afford to buy so expensive books or dvds especially of cake decorating. The cake tools only are so expensive. Please keep teaching. These people are jealous of ur generosity and talent.I beg ur feet to keep teaching the way u do always.Shalu.
ReplyDeleteI think your the best in fondant and gumpaste faces. It definitely not an easy job. Please veena keep teaching us..Your a source of inspiration for all helpless poor ladies like me who want to make living by cake making.I hope you tell this to those cake decorators who r so jealous of ur talent.U have no idea how sad i am feeling coz u cant teach us.Thanks for ur sharing and kind replies.God bless..
ReplyDeleteThanks Shalu for your kind wishes. Don't worry you don't need to worry. I just shared with you. I am a member of the cake decorating community and I have to honor and respect others. I charge to teach cake decorating here too so I would not like if someone did the same to me.
DeleteHaving said that. I will continue to share with you lots of other stuff. Next week I have a few more tutorials, so relax and don't feel sad. I do know there are women like you who follow my blog and make a living like I do.
Thanks again
Veena

Love all the expressing faces...You're an artist!
ReplyDeleteI wish for you to do what you enjoy doing - it's not ALL about money!
Thank you Jasna. Glad you liked it. Your right it's not always about the money.

VEENA......NOOOOO
ReplyDeleteI can't afford a ticket to Isreal to take lessons in your classes and I can't find anyone as good as you in my town. These women are haters. They are just jealous of your talent. Please keep on with your lessons. I live in a small town and work out of my house. Thats why I tell you i'm your #1 fan. These are greedy ladies who could get students if they were any good. I really really rely on your Facepage to help me get better or I lose my income. I come here EVERY Day to see what I can do next for my customers. My town is only 595 people and mostly retired. They need their Veena/Diana cupcakes....lol
Thats why I told you to hurry and write a book, I just knew something like this would happen.
OK.....now i'll get down off my soapbox and just say please don't stop. Their are millions of us who need you.
God Bless,
Diana Bevill
NEMOS CAKES
Thanks Diana,
DeleteDon't worry. I will continue to share as much as I can. Nice to hear about your town and your work. Good job!. I am a self taught cake decorator so I understand your fear.
Don't rely on anyone in life... believe in yourself and you will be surprised at your own potential and how much you can accomplish.
Some times I'm almost stepping on my toes to get work done. When I look back at my day. I's amazed I got so much done.
