Decorating Easter Cookies II- Easter Eggs and Duckies

My son  is now understanding what festivals and holidays are all about. He is just four and a half years old.
The fun part for him is that he gets to enjoy both Catholic festivities with mama and the Jewish festivities with Dada.

Recently I decorated some Easter Bunnies which got him all excited. Today I decided to make him some more Easter cookies.
I had left overs of Royal Icing in two piping bags (red and white) from my Oriental String work cake and so I thought it was a good idea to do some practice piping as well.
I was just about finished with the above four when he came home from school and decided he wanted to help me........!  Not just that; he also wanted me to take pictures all the time like I usually do for my tutorials.

He claims he wants to be a chef like mama when he grows up and always make sure he has an apron when he's in the kitchen. Now he wants the chefs hat!  I might just have someone to carry on my business after all. This I clicked recently when he was helping me in the kitchen too.
He is very fascinated with marbling. So I made this one showing him how it's done.
Then we did these two together. I was suppose to fill them all with white but he has other plans for his cookies.
Here's one where he tried the brush embroidery technique. The icing was of course too thin but he was fascinated with it. then I put the red in to make it more pretty.
The Orange is bit over crowded but that was suppose to be special for his littler sister...Not sure why!

Here are some duckies I did with him too.
These two were done with Rolled Royal Icing.(RRI)
Here they are together to compare. As you see they both look pretty neat. The advantage with RRI is that they do not bleed and are good for lazy (busy) people like me. Oooopps!
I think with that we are done with Easter cookies this year.
I do hope you like them. Easter cookies are the simplest and can be done so many different ways. I think there is no right or wrong way of doing them. They make perfect projects with kids too.
