Of course you will see that there was no need for me to take any progress pictures because it's either so easy or something I'd already shown you in a previous post.
Here's A simple Black and White wedding cake.
The bottom cake is a 9" round Carrot Cake with White Chocolate Buttercream and the top is a 6" round Coconut Cake with Coconut flavored Buttercream and of course my popular home made sugar paste recipe.
I love the contrast of black and white and the simplicity of this design makes it so elegant. Doesn't it?
This rose is made from fondant alone. As you can see it is not as delicate as a gum paste rose. (I was requested not to use any gum paste on the cake) And I did not do it in advance but right on top of the cake.
I've shown you to do a more elaborate gum paste bow - this one is much more easier.Well, I do hope you liked this cake.
