Gum Paste Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Captain Hook with his crocodile and a little mermaid

Hope you all are doing well.  I just finished my Peter Pan and his pirate ship cake yesterday.

I'm still working on my pictures but I was so anxious to share with you the gum paste characters on my cake .

Here's Peter Pan.
You know you got the figure right when a kid recognizes it instantly... My son came from school and yelled.. Peter Pan! I knew then that I had done it.

Here's Tinker Bell
I don't think I did a good job with Tinker Bell's pictures.

Here's Captain Hook

and his crocodile
and here's a little mermaid sitting in her flower..
I'll post the picture of the cake tomorrow.
I did take progress pictures of the cake for you but I think It's best that I make a video.
Please be patient.

Have a good day,

Thanks for stopping by.

    1. Hi Shalu. Thanks for the compliments.
I wish I could say I can show you how to make these characters. But I'm not a sculpt artist.
I have already shown on my blog pictures and on my website videos the basic of how to make hands, legs, body and more... These things you have to practice and you work on it until you find the look you want.
For example I thought Peter Pan and Captain Hook would be more difficult than Tinker Bell but I had to make Tinker Bells three faces before I actually used one. Even then I wasn't most satisfied.
So use the information, pictures and videos to practice and you will be able to do it too. If you good you might just realize that you have a hidden talent.
      I hope this helps.

    1. Mariam, Thanks for the compliments. Glad you find my blog very useful.
A very happy birthday to your son. Happy you like the Vanilla cream cake recipe. It's my son's favorite too. I made three princess cakes this week myself and will be posting a video and pictures on that soon too.

The fondant recipe was posted much later but it's popularity has given it the highest place on the list of popular post. Almost everybody that has tried it has found it tasty and easy to work with. Give it a go and you might surprise yourself.
      Thanks for the comment
