Peter Pan and the Pirate Ship Cake

Yesterday I shared with you the gum paste figure, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Captain Hook and his Crocodile as well as a little Mermaid. (Click here)

As promised today I want to share with you pictures of my Peter Pan and the Pirate Ship Cake.

I used my Dense Chocolate Cake, with Vanilla and Chocolate Buttercream and my recently posted Chocolate Fondant. I also gave you the recipes for my Gum Paste as well as royal icing.

Here is a side view of the cake
 Here's a another.
The sails are all made of gum paste and painted with black, I lustered the edges with silver pearls dust so they would stand out.
The water is Royal Icing of course! Light blue with streaks of white around for waves.
Here's the back of the ship. You can see I tried to keep it more rustic rather than neat and clean but I think personally my style is more neat and clean so getting a rustic look is an effort for me.
Here's the back view of the cake.
Well, I have to make a video for you with all the pictures I took from this cake. The Gum paste sails as well as the carving of the cake. I hope to accomplish that this weekend. Wish me luck!

Thanks for stopping by.
