This is a 7" round - Light and fluffy Vanilla cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream.
The method is really simple - you just pipe a dot with your round tip (I used Wilton 12) and then use a spatula or the back of a teaspoon and pull the dot outwards.

I was initially planning to do an Pink Ombre Petal cake, but soon realized that the weather was going to cause me some problems.
IF you choose to do an Ombre and have only one No 12 round tip. You can still do it.
You do two rows at a time, and move to the next color. You can start with dark and fade towards the lighter shade or you can start with a lighter shade and fade towards the darker.
As I said above, after the first row I changed my mind and decoded to do the whole cake the same Pink.
If you do the whole cake it's a lot easy of course. Just pipe dots from top to bottom like so and use a spatula or back of your teaspoon to press the dots like so.
Piping the next row is again dependent on the effect you want. Closer looks a lot different than the dots piped far apart.
Here's a close up of the petals.
I did the same to the top of the cake. You could do the whole cake with the petals and just add the flower or since I wanted to add a message I did it like so.
That's all from me for today.
Have a good weekend you guys.
